![]() SurgeryOne of your options to combat breast cancer is surgery. Surgery is performed to determine if breast cancer has spread to the lymph nodes, to restore the appearance of the breast, or to lessen the symptoms of advanced cancer. Surgery may also be combined with other treatments like hormone therapy, chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The following surgical procedures are available at the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute:
